Feel More Grounded, Balanced and Protected – Eighth Ray Shield of the Elements Anointing Ritual

On the 20th of March 2020, we celebrate the second of our eight annual celestial events, the equinox. Equinoxes are times when the elemental forces re-attune themselves to align with the coming season. It is also an ideal time to undertake the Eighth Ray Shield of the Elements Anointing Ritual to become more attuned to the elemental kingdoms and to your own elemental nature, and to feel more grounded, balanced and protected.

The Eighth Ray Shield of the Elements Anointing Ritual is a powerful self-protection ritual that works with four elemental forces: earth, water, air, fire and the quintessence. In this particular regard it is a magical ‘aegis’ or shield of the elements.

The Eighth Ray Shield of the Elements Anointing Ritual forges linkages with the elemental powers and imparts the mark or ‘seal’ of the true character of the elements into our elemental nature. In so doing it works to attune our holistic makeup so the elemental forces within it are equilibrated.

THE RITUAL PURPOSE OF THE EIGHTH RAY SHIELD OF THE ELEMENTS ANOINTING RITUAL:

Protection through ensuring the elemental nature is harmonised and integrated
Ground and balance you when working with Eighth Ray ritual and magic
Allying with the elemental forces to work more dynamically with Eighth Ray Magic
Increase the level of magical protection
Have more control over your elemental nature
Be more attuned to seasonal energies and seasonal cycles
Be more attuned to the elemental kingdoms
Be more conscious of the elemental forces at work in the life

RITUAL PREPARATION

You will require the following ritual anointing oils:

You will require five small dishes to contain the drops of anointing oil. Line them up from left to right:

If you have space, you can place the dishes in the five pointed star shape as pictured above.

You will be anointing your body in five places. You will need to ensure you have access to your feet and hands. The correlation between the elements and the parts of the body are as follows:

Elemental earth – right foot

Elemental water – left hand

Elemental air – right hand

Elemental fire – left foot

Quintessence – centre of forehead

STEPS OF THE RITUAL

Step One

Prepare Ritual Anointing Oils

Place each of the five bottles of Porta Alchémica® ritual anointing oils behind each one of the five dishes. Put three drops of each ritual anointing oil in each dedicated dish.

Then say:

“Earth, water, air and fire,

The pillars of creation that hold aloft the starry vault of heaven”

Step Two

Working with the Porta Alchémica® elemental earth anointing oil, use your left index finger to anoint the symbol of elemental earth on the top of your right foot. Say as you do so:

“The mark of earth confers the blessing of elemental earth.”

Step Three

Working with the Porta Alchémica® elemental water anointing oil, use your right index finger to anoint the symbol of elemental water on the back of your left hand. Say as you do so:

“The mark of water confers the blessing of elemental water.”

Step Four

Working with the Porta Alchémica® elemental air anointing oil, use your left index finger to anoint the symbol of elemental air of the back of your right hand. Say as you do so:

“The mark of air confers the blessing of elemental air.”

Step Five

Working with the Porta Alchémica® elemental fire anointing oil, use your right index finger to anoint the symbol of elemental fire on the top of your left foot. Say as you do so:

“The mark of fire confers the blessing of elemental fire.”

Step Six

Using the Porta Alchémica® quintessence anointing oil use your right index finger to anoint the symbol of the quintessence in the centre of your forehead. Say as you do so:

“With this mark of the quintessence the elemental star that is the

shield of the elements blazes forth with the pure light of spirit.”

Step Seven

Then finish by saying:

“I am anointed with the Shield of the Elements!”

This powerful Eighth Ray Shield of the Elements Anointing Ritual can be conducted daily and as often as you can to continue to balance and harmonise the elemental forces within you. This ritual will continue to bless and protect you the more you work with it, especially at this time of the year.
